PDN sells all it's crude to Ecopetrol under a 3 year sales contract which expires in November 2006. The prices received by PDN from Ecopetrol for its crude are linked to WTI for Santa Lucia and Dona Maria fields and to Fuel Oil in the case of Los Angeles Field.

There is no marketing fee charged under the contract as Ecopetrol uses the crude to supply its refinery at Cartagena. The expectation is that this contract will be renewed for another 3 years after November. However, PDN also has the option to export its crude via the Colombian Port of Covenas. There are a number of existing companies in Colombia who are already doing this.
