Social impacts

In its operations overseas, PetroLatina takes great care to respect the culture and rights of the indigenous peoples of the host country. In addition, and with the cooperation of the government, public authorities and other relevant stakeholders, PetroLatina assists with local community programmes and conservation schemes. PetroLatina operates policies which minimise impacts on the local community and environment. PetroLatina’s impact studies include social management plans for each area of operation. The Company donates to and is involved in health and education projects, productive projects, and cultural and sporting events with the local community. Human Rights

PetroLatina’s Human Rights policy is based on the fundamental rights outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the laws of host countries. Throughout PetroLatina’s operations, human rights are protected and promoted, both in our business operations and through our involvement with local communities. Any infringement of human rights is reported to management. The policy covers the rights of our employees in respect to their health, safety, security and working conditions, along with the rights of external stakeholders such as the local community.
