PetroLatina insists on honesty and integrity. It emphasises the need for all members of the Company to abide by the law. The Company has a commitment to all its stakeholders to operate safely and responsibly. Its commitment to transparency engenders confidence because stakeholders know that the company deals with them on an open basis which permits a candid, constructive dialogue.

Suppliers and Contractors

All business relationships with suppliers and contractors aim to be honest and fair. External parties are encouraged to abide by PetroLatina’s standards. Their concurrence will influence any decision whether or not to continue or develop a relationship with them. Periodic evaluations of contractors and suppliers are carried out to record their efficiency, ensuring that contractual obligations are met and value for money achieved.

Bribery and Corruption

PetroLatina has a zero tolerance policy on bribery and corruption. All employees are informed about this policy during their induction to the Company and in the work regulations. Excessive gifts or entertainment should be avoided by all employees so not to place them under any obligation.

Code of Ethics

PetroLatina’s work regulations follow from and embrace its ethical code. The regulations can be obtained in all offices and in the field, and set out the obligations of employer and employee. Employees are expected to behave professionally at all times. The Company has “a no alcohol and drugs policy” on operational sites.

Reporting

PetroLatina is committed to an efficient communications network with stakeholders, local communities and employees, and it draws attention to employment and contractor opportunities and social-economic activities. All business transactions should be recorded and documented. Information is published through public reports and the website.

PetroLatina’s financial, environmental and social performance is audited on a regular basis. These audits help ensure continuous improvement of the Company’s performance and are reported to the stakeholders.

The environmental reports and public documents are sent periodically to the Environmental Authority. They will distribute a copy of these reports on request to interested parties.
